Salt Packaging Redesign Using Quality Function Deployment (Qfd) Method to Increase Sales (Case Study: Saboh Hate Farmers Group, Kuala Idi Cut, East Aceh)

Salt is one of the great potentials on coast East Aceh Regency which can be developed to boost economic growth community. The location research was carried out in Saboh Hate group located Darul Aman District, Kuala Idi Cut Village, Aron Muda Hamlet, Regency, Province. Currently, salt market has an attractive packaging design, while Farmers Group does not yet have a good or simple packaging, so needed design that increase competitiveness. purpose this study determine characteristics consumers want at Farmer through redesign. method used statistical test and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). phase includes observation interviews questionnaires processing data tests, SPSS 20 House (HOQ). results show based relative weight including information for weight, halal brand logo with value 28.28%, material ordinary clear plastic 24.27%, color desired blue 23.71 size generally 250 g package 23.71%.
